Christian Board Books for Infants and Toddlers

They are never too little to learn big truths about God.

I love board books for this age group. They are usually beautiful, full of color, and often use simpler language (plus they are pretty sturdy, which I appreciate).

Sourcing books that were rich in truth has been really important to me since becoming a mama.

This post is dedicated to sharing some of my favorites. I hope they remind you of God’s goodness as much as they instill foundational truths about God to your little one.

  1. Don’t Forget To Remember by Ellie Holcomb. Be sure to check out her song on Spotify that goes right along with this book!

  2. Psalm 23: A Colors Primer by Danielle Hitchen. These are great little books that use developmental concepts like colors, opposites, etc. and use them as they relate to the Bible.

  3. The Holy Spirit by Devon Provencher. This series is a great introduction to foundational theological concepts.

  4. What are Hands For? by Abbey Wedgeworth. These are great for gently addressing some common behaviors in toddlers while pointing them to how God intended them to be created.

  5. The Biggest Story ABC by Kevin Deyoung. I love how this story goes through the alphabet while going through the story of the Bible.

  6. Jesus Saves: The Gospel for Toddlers by Sarah Reju. I love the repetition in her this book that makes it fun for a little one to listen to and how simply it presents the gospel to this age group.

  7. Near by Sally Lloyd Jones and Jago. Beautifully written and illustrated, Near shows God is present wherever a child may go.

  8. Does God Go On Vacation? by Amy Gannett. Another favorite in my house and church nursery.

  9. God Cares For Me by Kristen Wetherell. I was so excited when this series was released. I love how the repetition of the key truths each book emphasizes. Can’t wait for the others to be released!
